Help! My hamster's stomach is wet!!

Good to hear, it sounds as though he's settling down a bit then.
It's always worth checking that scent gland regularly as it can sometimes get a bit blocked & need bathing to prevent it getting infected, not that I'm trying to make you worry more

How would I bathe it if I needed to? What are the signs I would need to bathe it?

You can easily see if it needs bathing, it just looks kind of gunged up & a bit dry (for want of a better description!) & you would know if you saw it, just cotton wool & some warm water is all you need to give it a gentle wipe, it doesn't happen that often but if it does it's easy to clean if caught early.
