Orson is having his operation now

As we speak, my little Orson (WW) is having an operation to remove a massive, fast-growing tumour from his ear. The vet said he would have to be put down soon if he didn't have this operation, so it's his only chance. His brother Sapphy has gone with him to wait in the carry case with him.

This is the tumour as taken last night:

I have to phone the vets at 2pm to see how it has gone.

Orson is now back home and is doing well! Just got to be careful and keep Sapphy off of it!

Oh, i have the same dwarf hamster and i almost started crying when i saw this. Good luck with recovery, he must be such a brave hamster with a proud owner! Its great that the vet was able to fix it!! Good luck hammie!!!

Glad to hear Orson did so well after his op Bunsey. He looks great now
