Re: I think my hamster is overweight
I would just keep an eye on her and give her a health check weekly in case it isn't weight gain but swelling or something. Our Syrian did get a bit too chunky with treats at one point if that is it, but soon went back to normal when I switched to healthy treats I mis-read your post title at first - I thought it said "I think my husband is overweight! Lol! Curiosity meant I had to read it!

Re: I think my hamster is overweight
50g is a perfectly healthy weight for a pedigree winter white. I do think that naturally, pedigree hamsters are bigger (having more access to better care as a pup from the breeder). My Winter White (also pedigree) weighs in at around 45g.
Do factor in that your hamster may have food in its pouches, which will add in a few grams.

Re: I think my hamster is overweight
I've never been to shows or seen a breeder WW in person but some I've seen in photos or on TV look to be much bigger than any of my hybrids have been & I thought mine were big!

Re: I think my hamster is overweight
the largest one was the largest in the litter and my smaller one was the runt and it has always been this way. She hasn't gained any weight since I weighed her a couple of weeks agoXx
