Yes that is a great idea, I will start a vet Bill fund.

She said everything you guys said to be honest, as I'm not going in to the vets , keep and eye on him, kep him warm , remove any bedding which could irritate him etc. I don't think she was an hamster expert but she seemed a well knowledgeable vet.

A neck brace would be good so he didn't lick his affected area so much but that's not likely.

I have no ideas I'm afraid. Beg borrow steal money for the vets. What did the vet say? Any recommendations from the vet?

I wish I could help I'm really concerned and don't think he'll make it till Tuesday if I'm brutally honest. If he does then that rash will be at the point of no recovery. There must be family who can help you?

Any other members have any ideas? Anything at all that will give this little guy the best chance to make it?

My mum and dad aren't very supportive with my hamsters. My mum says he will be fine.... and said she wouldn't take me to the vets anyway. ( I don't drive just yet )

uhhhh I'm so worried and there is nothing I can do at the moment! Maybe he was already very ill when I got him, it could be so many different reasons

I will keep you upto date!

If you got him from pets at home there's a chance they can give free care. Google vets4pets and see if they have an emergency line. They're an affiliate company to pets at home and may be able to help. You can only try.

I understand how helpless you feel but you are trying your best for him.

Id love to help more

My sisters first hamster had a hunched back when he got old and some of mine were slightly hunched as they grew older. But as yours is young it could be something it was born with.

It's a new ham CMB. A hunched bank generally means they're in pain, I believe. Not a specific pain it's just what they do when they're in agony

Thats a good point Rsclio197 with p@h vets ... As you haven't had him that long I'm sure they'd give you a free health check at the very least. Worth looking at!

I wouldn't imagine they have an emergency service though as it's part of the store so probably runs during the same hours. (Might be wrong though!)

Round my area in the north east they have a few hubs that aren't attached to p@h but not sure if they have emergency facilities. If Taro could contact vets4pets there's a chance they could agree in advance to cover vet costs.
