Unexpected hamster owner

My Koala builds substrate up to the tip of the nozzle, makes a huge nest then he sticks his mouth up just above the bedding and has a drink then goes back down to sleep in his nest

He does sound relaxed Does he have a house/nesting box in his cage? Just thinking he might sleep in it if he had one then he might choose a wee corner maybe? Or maybe he really is just guarding everywhere in his cage (or just enjoying all of it after his awful previous one).

Yes he has a mug and a house.
