Re: Please help me!
Once she is feeling better and is eating more she should start putting on weight anyway. That plus maybe some other foods added too, should help

Re: Please help me!
Once shes better I'll be seeking advice on what type, how much and how often new foods should be taken on.
So things looking good for princess Poppy for now. I guess we'll leave it at that until she's ready for operation let's get fat haha.
Thank you all for your support in this you've really helped me through some long worrying days at work this week.
Your all brilliant I can't say that enough.
It's now upto Poppy to recover and come into her own by herself now, we've done all we can.

Re: Please help me!
I decided to sleep in Poppys room tonight and she's only gone and woke me up, I woke to the sound of her rummaging through food in her bowl, since then she's took on water on 2 separate occasions and been in her wheel. She keeps staring at me wanting to be out I don't know what to do! She's giving me the puppy dog eyes bless her she's desperate to be out! 'Poppy dog eyes'lol

Re: Please help me!
She sounds like she is well on the mend, as for food Pippin gets HH as did Forrest after trying several foods this always gets eaten.
Forrest used to go mad for some boiled egg white and cooked chicken let alone the peas and sweetcorn he used to love.
Pippin is being introduced to a variety of fresh foods slowly seems to like everything so far offered.

Re: Please help me!
I'd agree on the Harry Hamster I've tried Charlie with all kinds of different mixes but it is the only one he eats all of (except the black logs but apparently they're not that important and don't seem that popular with hamsters). The pieces in HH are a good size for a Syrian.
So glad Poppy is settling down. Just take it slowly. If she's wanting to come out now it wouldn't do any harm to have a taming session in the bathtub if her diarrhoea has settled down.

Re: Please help me!
Does the new HH have those long black logs in?? Only, when it arrived it was the new one with the new packaging, even though stupid Amazon had the old packaging! But there doesn't appear to be any in ours ... Unless there is less than there used to be so it's less noticeable? There used to be loads! I used to find that most of what was in the bowl had those in, and no ham I've ever had has ever eaten them! There also appears to be less peanuts too ...
Sweep is the only one I've ever had to eat every single piece in it!

I think there might be less in the new bag, yes - which is a good thing!

She defo loves the HH! Not noticed what she has and hasnt took yet due to sharing her excitement for it. She was up again this morning for a mooch around and a drink then back to bed after a quick escape attempt lol.
Shes already fairly tame serendipity she's largely used to me so I'll not go too much into taming her I'll let it happen naturally. Plus I don't want her near the bath incase I don't clean it properly .
There is still little bits of light poo on her nest bit it's not runny no more, still a bit soft and light in colour, like baby poo if I had to describe it.
Oh by the way she was attempting to dig last might too but her tank isn't deep enough, so she's getting a deeper bigger tank today. How deep should it be and us care fresh mixed with o@h wood shavings ok for her to burrow in?

Re: Please help me!
I wouldn't move her to a new tank just yet Rs. Cage moves are very stressful and she has just set up home in this cage. She needs to be very stable before you move her. Don't change anything just yet. You want her to rest and eat and get her tummy right at the moment so please don't move her just yet
