Naturally slim
Just after a bit of advice...are some hams just naturally slim?
My Syrian Robin is just over 6 months old and I weighed him last night and he was about 175g which looking at the hamster weigh in thread seems about right but when I look at him hes quite slim in that I can see a waist which I don't really recall being able to do with previous Syrians. (I can't see or feel his spine or anything like that or he would have gone to see the vet long ago)
He is bright and active hes just quite picky with food. His favourites like mealworms, seeds and raisins get eaten straight away but he stashes his normal food and there is always a large hoard when I clean out his cage.
Should I be giving him foods to try and fatten him up? Things like baby foods or are some hamsters just streamlined and thats not really a problem?

Re: Naturally slim
Woodstock is 172g and i can see his waist too, despite his fluff. He also collects massive hoards. Sounds like your hamster is just fine to me.
