Hey! Just came back from the vet! The thing i tought was a wound, is a tumor. Not a bad one which harms but a good one, you know what i mean. The vet said it was too risky to get it removed because of the narcosis and stuff, but i'm so happy she's okay!! Thanks all for the help

Hi Smasje. I'm a little confused. Necrosis is dead/dying tissue and no vet would suggest leaving it there. Necrotic tissue can spread and kill a ham. So, maybe that's not quite the word you mean? Might you mean Narcotic? Or Anesthesia?
If, by good tumor, you mean it's not cancerous, that would be a better outlook than you thought. I hope she continues to do okay.

Even though it's a goodhearted one I would keep an eye on her. Keep track on if her behavior changes (she stops using her wheel, sleeps way more than usual etc) and if she suddenly starts to lose weight.

Happy to hear that she isnt wounded though!

Ah! That makes sense. It would be the anesthesia used to keep them asleep during surgery. I am really glad she was seen.

That's good news! Did the vet give any treatment for it or anything topical to put on?

The vet didn't do anything about it, the tumor probably sat under the skin at first. I think it Will heal Just fine. Hammy's most of the time can deal with their own problems Just like In nature, my vet is all about nature And things healing on its own, so i guess its fine.

I'm glad everything is well for the most part, then! I am very surprised the vet didn't prescribe anything to aid the healing process though.

Take her to the vet! Tell your mum that no living hting should have to suffer. It could get infected..
