Good luck, I really hope the antibiotics do the trick for you At least now you know its not the teeth and if things don't work out as we all hope then at least you'll know you did your best for her. Let us know how she gets on?

Fingers crossed your little girl's antibiotics do the job. Because she's 2, she might take a bit longer to react to the antibiotics, so be sure to finish them. You may need to go back for more.

Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate that you care!

Will let you know how she gets on. I didn't see her this morning before I left for work but she wasn't looking any better yesterday. She's still eating and drinking and running around fine, though, so am keeping my fingers crossed that she'll be back to normal soon enough.

Will update if there's any change x

Hi all,

Just a quick update - sadly not good news. The antibiotics didn't work, so we took her back this morning. There's nothing they can do, so we'll just wait for her to let us know if she's suffering. She's still eating, drinking, and running around as usual, but the moment I notice anything wrong we'll take her back and more than likely have her put to sleep. We've done all we can now, save surgery, and she's old enough that she's not likely to survive it and I don't really want to put her through that. We're just making her comfortable now and giving her all her favourite things, and we'll take our cue from her.

Thanks for all your support so far, and I'm sorry I don't have better news x

Really sorry to hear it was bad news at the vets.
I think you're doing the very best thing for her, she'll live out her life in comfort & with lots of love & care, you can't do more than that.

So sorry to hear that but, what you're doing now is the best thing. Surgery would be too stressful for her and her age, giving her love, care, comfort and her favourite things is exactly what I'd do in that situation.

Sorry to hear your news. Paws crossed that she continues to be comfortable. You're giving her love and looking after her and have a plan in place should she start to feel poorly. You're doing the very best. xxx

I'm sorry its nothing that can be fixed but its so good u know before she gets poorly, u can make a real fuss of her and make sure she is as comfortable as possible. Hope she continues ok...

Just to let you know that we put Jasmine down morning. When we woke up it seemed to have burst and was red and angry, and she'd lost most of the fur underneath her chin and down to her stomach. It wasn't fair keeping her like that so we made the decision to have her put to sleep. Very sad but relieved that she's not having to go through that any more x

I'm so sorry, even when it's the only choice it's never easy but you've done the kindest thing for little Jasmine.
Hope you're ok.
