Unhappy Back legs

I have recently posted a thread about my poorly Syrian, Dandy.
I have come to the conclusion the problem lies with her back legs. She sits with her legs sprawelled and it isn't natural for her. She is very slow moving now and won't go on her wheel, she only sleeps. She is on metacam and antibiotics as vet was unsure of problem. I am having a think whether it is best to get her PTS as I do not want her in pain. Has anyone else had this problem
Thank you,
Emily

Default Re: Back legs

Hello Emily

How does she walk? it could possibly be something with her spine, like fluid or a cyst/mass in her spinal chord. you'd need to get a vet to x-ray her to check. unfortunately for a hamster there's nothing they can really do as surgery is very risky i'm so sorry that this has happened to her x
