Default Omg!

I dropped her...she jumped and fell from my hands while i was standing. She fell on her back, was a bit dazed but is running around now and seems to be fine. Gave her a piece of apple and she was nomming it.

Shes in her wheel running in it. How can i tell if something is wrong?

If she keeps running and walking normally and keeps drinking and eating as usual it looks like she didn't get hurt. Keep a close eye on her, maybe check if she dislike you touching her back. If everything is as usual I wouldn't worry too much. You do know her best though, if you are uncertain you can take her by the vet just to make sure.

I checked her back, lightly tapped, massaged it, she seemed ok. Not scared or anything, she actually quite hapily jumped in my hand.

Nearly had a heart attack.

It's awful when they suddenly jump free isn't it? It happened to me once but he only fell on the sofa which wasn't too far, but he started making this loud vibrating noise afterwards that sounding like a cross between growling and purring. And quite freaked me out. Ever since then I either don't carry him in my hands (in the ball or a tube with my hands over each end) or I cup one hand over the other so he can't actually jump.

Glad she is ok.

It happens they sometimes think its great fun to suddenly jump, long as the drop wasn't far and she's not hurt she'll be fine. Don't feel bad about this, accidents happen and hamsters can be jumpy.

Don't be so hard on yourself, accidents happen and she seems unaffected by it.
