Time for the vets?
I have 2 winter whites (Dad and baby) Dad is fine but after the last month or so baby has lost condition and is getting scruffy and skinny. Hes eating the same amount but I have noticed both of them drinking more, Alot more. They go through 2 bottles of water every 2days. I've checked the bottles and neither are leaking. This has come on in the last month. Baby is just over a year and dad is 1year 4months.
Can anyone give me any advice on what it could be? I'm going to get them into the vets this week.

Re: Time for the vets?
sounds like it could be diabetes. Are they from a show breeder? if not, it's likely they are hybridised with the Campbells species, which is well-known to be prone to diabetes, i'm affrad.

Re: Time for the vets?
they where RSPCA rescues so most likely hybrids. Whats the likely outcome of diabetes? Is it manageable?
