Re: Latte Update
Having a good vet really does make a big difference. It's hard enough to deal with a sick or hurt animal without having to worry about if the vet is going to understand your pet, or be gentle with them, or recognize how upset you might be over the situation. Latte is, like all loved pets, special, and should be treated as such by his vet. I am so glad they see Latte as special enough to celebrate his recovery. I am so happy Latte is learning to cope with the head tilt. Such a good outcome.

Re: Latte Update
This is truly wonderful news about Latte! And it makes such a difference when you having a caring vet and that the staff are too!
I've got that with mine and Archie loves being fussed over by the vet and the reception staff make a fuss of him also.
Apart from the time that I got a stand in vet and she was rough with Archie, he bit her. I told her off for being so rough and uncaring. Archie had never bitten me or anyone till she took a dislike to him. I know that look when I see it. I just wish he'd bitten her harder lol!

Re: Latte Update
Latte does great in his ball! He can get a little frustrated and get stuck going in circles for a moment but if I call to him he usually calms down and starts running straight again. I am so glad bec his ball is his favorite thing and I would hate if he had to give it up!
Tonight he is in a mood. I found out he has been peeing in his little house since he has been sick so couldn't save much of his sleep bedding when I cleaned the cage. He was hiding in the top part of the house which he never does. I got him to go to his sleeping quarters with a treat but he won't come to me. Such a personality on this one! I am sure he will forgive me eventually. Enjoy some pics of his sulking!

Re: Latte Update
Good for Latte! lol really it's good to see the personality. And so happy he can use his ball! Did you see another member has a head-tilted rescue who runs his ball in circles too HERE
Just out of curiosity, if you know, what caused it? Give Latte a treat foe me please! x

Re: Latte Update
The vet said he had an inner ear infection Piebald but I don't know what caused it. He had escaped a couple days prior so could have gotten into something. I was also on a rotation in the ER (I am a medical student) so even though I wasn't sick could have brought home some germs!

Re: Latte Update
Ah well inner ear is what I wondered. I had an inner ear episode and was told my good inner ear was compensating as the other was permanently messed up. It took me months to get balanced again but I don't have a head tilt. So maybe his will get better too.

Well she didn't like me for speaking up. But, I don't care! When you become a vet, you don't just do it to treat cats and dogs, you do it for your love of all animals and to treat all the same.
I did mention her cold and bad attitude to the receptionist and I don't think I'm the only one who didn't like her.
Did the vet give you anything for Latte's ear infection? At least you know what's wrong.
