Is the soducrem not good to use? I thought that's what most people use. I got exactly what was in the link under the post that talked about Cushings and the stages of the disease.

Is there anything I can get him at Walmart or target to help heal the cuts that's safe for him? Not sure when the soducrem will arrive. The soducrem is safe right?

Hi Panda's Mommy. To help soothe Panda's skin without using harsh chemicals you can use Omega 3 fish oil or aloe as shown in the photos below. Both are okay for a hamster to ingest when they groom themselves. You just use a pin to open the caps, put a bit on your finger and put it on Panda's skin. I got this information from a vet who answers questions like yours online. Here is the link if you want to discuss Panda's specific problems with the vet. I Hope this helps you. I found it helpful when Ted E. Bear was losing hair and his skin was so dry.

I already got the fish oil. Will that heal his cuts?

Hi again Panda's mommy. The same way that moisturizers help your cracked, dry skin heal, so should the fish oil or the aloe caps help Panda's skin. As his skin gets dry and sometimes itchy, he will scratch it and tear the skin. Easing the dryness and itchyness will help it heal.

Edit: Also, as his skin will be more fragile, sharp objects he rubs against can tear the skin too. So you'll want to make sure there is nothing with sharp edges in his cage.

I wouldn't be happy putting a fleece liner in the cage tbh, I think plenty of substrate & tissue paper should be enough, any cream you use probably won't cause the substrate to stick, it'll just absorb any excess which shouldn't be a problem.
I keep a fleece blanket underneath my hams cages in winter for extra insulation & it really does make a difference to how warm the cages are.

It sounds as if the sudocrem is safe as it was used on Snickers (in the Cushings sticky thread) and helped her. I don't have any experience of this myself. Only use a little bit though so she doesn't lick it off and swallow a lot. I'd use something else rather than fleece myself like kitchen roll sheets,
