Default Fleas: The cat or the ham

I found a flea on me this morning, had a quick look through nibbles fur couldn't find any sign of fleas he's white so I assume that I could see them running my finger through separatingthe ffur. Should I treat just in case?

I would treat the cat and the house with sprays and spot ons from the vet, as if you found one there is always more, also because there is fleas around I would treat the hamster and cage also with the appropriate measures for them, even though vet treatments are more expensive they work ! and are worth paying for,
