Just something i thought i would share
my cousin has had his hamster for two years, a syrian and yesterday when my cousin looked at his hammy there was blood all over the bedding and to his horror he noticed that his hammy had somehow gnawed at its two feet because it had ingrowing toe nails. he took him to the vets this morning and after stitches and an injection, his hammy is on the way to recovery! but just wanted to share this so you all know how serious it is for hammys to have proper check ups regularly, either by yourself of vet. i know its made me more conscious of always remembering to regularly check my hammy's feet to see if his nails are too long or healthy. hope this helps!
