You can always do the apple sauce method, but in a syringe. When I was taking care of ferrets who didn't want to take their medicine, we put the banana flavored goop in a syringe and squirted it into their mouths so they really had no choice. Hamsters are much, much smaller, so I would be very cautious about how fast you squeeze the trigger there- but it might help.
