Default rescue syrian edgar.... any advice on bald patches?

hiya as some of you probably know i have just got a rescue syrian called edgar. he has a bald patch on his back and shoulders about the size of a 2 pence coin. the rescue thought he had got this from fighting with other syrians that he was in the same cage with! 4 in total. shock horror! he looks fully grown and although he is thought to be only a few months old this is only the rescue centers guess. does anybody have any experience with bald patches on hamsteras and whether the lost hair will grow back or not??????? its not scarred, just bald.thanks
