Re: No top teeth?
That would be great! Gizmo does really well fortunately, so no gas. If we had to, then I'd opt for his bottom teeth pulled. One is loose. But I fear for his safety because he turns 2 basically tomorrow (since actual day is unknown).

Re: No top teeth?
Yeah we're really lucky it was the vet it was that day. The downside is that her other top tooth went wonky shortly afterwards lol. It doesn't grow as fast as the first though. One of her bottom teeth is twisted but that one grows nice and slowly...
I'm glad Gizmo does well and doesn't need the gas, Polly is 21 months now so we're really hoping she can start having trims concious - it'll be far safer for her.

Re: No top teeth?
Poor Polly, how awful for her teeth to be so messed up! Hopefully she will indeed only have to have conscious trims.
Wicket tried to bite the vet when they trimmed his. He's very mellow but I guess they reached his tolerance threshold. I think Penny would be a nightmare!

Re: No top teeth?
Thanks, Polly wouldn't bite but she doesn't like the concept of staying still... We'll see how it goes when she needs to visit the vet next

Re: No top teeth?
No tooth growth & I don't think they'll ever grow back now.
My mum bought me quite a lot of baby food at a discounted price of 10p and 20p a jar And found out that Aldi sells quite a large jar of baby food for only 49p
Will Izzy be okay with baby food and her normal mix for the rest of her life? I'm thinking of making a mix for just her. I could mix Harry Hamster and Dwarf Hamster Harvest?

Re: No top teeth?
I'm sorry they never grew back
Izzy should be ok with her normal mix I'd think, if she's eating it now she should continue to be ok

Re: No top teeth?
Once Gizmo's weight stabilized, I quit giving him the baby food and switched to smaller pieces. So far he has been maintaining his weight with just the dry food. I hope Izzy will be the same!

Re: No top teeth?
So it's been like 4 months now and there's still no sign of top teeth. She's just had her bottom teeth trimmed a little while ago.
I guess she's lost them for good
Her coat is looking healthier, and I think that's because she's started to eat as much as her food mix as she can. I'm still giving her baby food. She stared at me the other day because I forgot to give it her
Just wanted to update you
