first aid kit ideas
I have some random bits and pieces, but want to organise a proper first aid kit for my hamsters. Any ideas?

Re: first aid kit ideas
Mines consists of ivermectin spot on, vitamin supplements, wound care gel for any open wounds as it acts like a barrier and is an antiseptic, probiotics.

Re: first aid kit ideas
I have avipro plus as a probiotic.
Xelay is right you should search for the relevant topic before posting as this saves duplicate threads being made and those 2 threads have some great ideas for hamster first aid kits I would like to ask Xelay that you should probably practise what you preach as the thread "Let's Discuss What You Keep in a Hamster First Aid Kit" cover pretty much the same topic as the previously posted "How to make a hamster first aid kit". Danih hasn't posted very muc on this forum and we shouldn't be telling her to do something that we haven't done ourselves

Re: first aid kit ideas
I was only informing her not to post in those threads because I think we aren't supposed to bump old ones, not telling her to search first. There are tons of repeat posts and I for one am happy to answer them over and over again because everyone deserves to be able to ask all the questions they want to ask and discuss them fully. I just didn't have time to type out a full response so went to find those to more fully answer the question. Thanks for your little lecture though it's always good to remind people to be kind, patient, and assume the best of all posters here as it is always more effective to educate from a place of understanding and kindness. Anyway that was a heck of a thing to wake up to after being up all night with a dying hamster (which unfortunately no first aid kit or vet could have saved, diabetes complications). Apparently I need to get away from this forum since my intentions are so easily misconstrued (and I get it, my post was rather ambiguous). I hope you didn't take it as meaning you shouldn't continue to post in this thread OP because I really do think this is a great topic to discuss again and again or perhaps even sticky at some point.

Re: first aid kit ideas
Big thank you for all advice so far.
Xeley and flogging molly, you are both quiet right, I should have done a search first, those two threads are great! No plans to post on them.
I confess I am a lurker rather thdn a poster. I come on here a lot just to see whats interesting, rarely post.
Xeley, sorry about your hamster.
