Hi Huiyan,

I replied to your PM with some immediate advice for your hamster, although now reading this thread it sounds like she's not as bad as I thought she was.

Important things to remember: make sure she is

Eating

Drinking

Warm

Comfortable

If she's walking around try to restrict her, take away anything she can climb up so she just has a nest and food, to encourage her to rest.

And if at all possible, seek veterinary attention as soon as possible.

someone must be able to help out with the vets bill if not are there any organisations near you that would tear your pet for free, on the idea that you would give a donation of whatever you could afford?

i think the others here are right, that the best bet is to leave her be for the time being, and just keep a very close eye (they know a lot more than me)

keep us updated wont you?

They are amazing wee creatures and so resilient at times. You may be very surprised and find no obvious longterm effects, fingers crossed you do. Thinking of you both. Keep us up-to-date.

What can I do to prevent stokes? I had read the topic involving strokes, I guess I can't bear to see my hamster getting into this kind of situation. It seems terrible to me. Yea..

I'm not sure there are ways to stop a stroke, I don't see there is any reason for you to worry about this happening, but I'm not very experienced in hamster ailments so maybe someone can give some more insight.

I sent you a PM a few days ago, will you please check and read it before you make any further posts. Thank you.

You can find it at the top of the forum beside where it says " FAQ, Search, Memberlist, Usergroups, Profile, Log out" Under the Forum Logo.

Thanks for your advice. I will get very alert this time when my hammy is out of her cage. After this incident, I guess I don't dare to be careless..
