Is my Hamster okay?!

Help! I'm worried! I got my Syrain Hamster, Wasabi about 3 weeks ago. About 2 days ago I noticed a patch of fur missing above his nose with a red dot in the middle. I'm worried, do you think something is wrong? Or did he just scratch it?

Is he a bar chewer? Sometimes bar chewers get a patch of hair rubbed off above their nose and even a red mark appears, from constant pressure and rubbing on the bars as they chew.

My first thought was also bar chewing. Is he in a wire cage?
