Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Hi guys, does anyone know the healthy weight for a Chinese? I've just weighed Louis and he is about 40g but since i haven't had a Chinese before i wasn't sure if this was good or bad? He was really thin when he came to us and quickly put on a lot of weight, so much so that he now seems to have a little bit of a tummy! x

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Well I re-weighed Thistle and Pippy the other day and goodness have they packed on the pounds these last few months!
3 months ago they weighed...
Quote:
Thistle 40-45g (6/7 months)
Pippy 35g (4 months)

Thistle (WW) is now 9/10 months old and weighs a lovely 61g! Im so proud of my little chubster.
Pippy (Hybrid) is 7/8 months old and weighs 48g which Im quite happy with although I'd like to get her down to 45g for her health as she was never made to be a chubster like WWs are

Re: Hamster weigh-in thread
Holly has put on weight since I extended his cage - I think it's because he's no longer using his wheel so much. He was 176g about six weeks ago, now he's 190g.
