if you put a bowl on the scales, and make them go to zero once the bowl is on, it'll keep her on the scales and you can see what her weight is easier

i just keep mine on, i have digi scales tho x

Ahh, With my digi scales you put stuff on and set it to zero, and it just tells you the weight of the extra things you put on (useful for weighing things in saucepans etc) and when I weigh my dwarves I'll put them in a bowl..because they just do NOT stay still >.<;

I remember when i first weighed peggy and dot i put them in a cosy fleece pouch then put it on the scales
It wasn't massively accurate though!

these are past hams

tinkerbell 2006-2008 (pets at home hamster) was 260g at her biggest, she was a week short of her 2nd birthday, she had 6 pups

shearer - lived 2 years 10 months and 2 weeks, longest surviving ham, was active right till the end, loved his wheel, his legs got weaker as he got older 142g max weight, was was the smallest one we had, local pet shop ham, was father to tinks pups

patch female 248g max, lived to 1 year 4 months, she was weighty and long, she was a sable roan

frodo male - died at 16 days old, runt of the litter i think

vanilla female - lived to 18 months, weighed 220g max, loved her food, she died suddenly, she was shaky and unsteady on her feet but was heavy when she died

pippin female - live 2 years 2 months - 220g max, died suddenly, old age

silver female - lived one year 11 months, 200g max, died of a bowel problem

samwise male - lived to 2 years 7 months - 232g max, died of old age, he was a golden hamster

slingshot male - he was a rescue ham, his age was unknown but he was an adult ham, we had him 1 year 9 month and we guessed that he was about 3 months old when we got him but he may have been anything upto 6 months - 185g max

jackhammy male - local pet shop ham, lived 1 year 10 months, died suddenly in his sleep, no shown illness, 215g max

now onto the living hams

snowflake - 1 year 1 month, 224g, pet shop bought ham, is mammy to 9 pups

teddy - 11 months old, pet shop bought ham, daddy to snows pups - 220g

junior (teddy) - male, double of his daddy but a little shorter - 6 month 2 weeks - 220g

buttons - male - 6 month 2 weeks - 162g

angel - male - 6 month 2 weeks - 187g

sweep - male - 6 month 2 weeks - 195g

montgomery - male - 6 month 2 weeks - 199g

taylor - male - 6 months 2 weeks - 159g

marbles - female - 6 months 2 weeks - 207g

harmonie - female - 6 months 2 weeks, she was the runt of the litter, she was teeny, shes still small length wise but she weighs 207g, little fatty lol

and now for the prize for our biggest hamster ever

lily - female, 6 months 2 weeks - weighs in at a whopping 271(and still growing)g she was 275 last week
