Default Hamster squeaking?

Hi everyone,

Hope you and your little uns' are all ok!

I hope someone can help me here, as I'm not too sure what's wrong.
About a week ago Gus started squeaking at night, he did it for about half an hour or so, then all was quiet again.

I hear him squeak most nights now but not for any longer than 2-3mins, then soon after that I can hear him on his wheel as though nothing was wrong.

His eating patterns are the same and he's as active as ever.

The only thing I can think of is that I rescued him 20 months ago now, I don't know old he was when I got him so he could just be reaching the end. I hope not though.

Any advice is appreciated, do you think a trip to the vet is necessary?

Cheers.

Dale walkin and talkin 1 - YouTube
When my hamster Dale got older he started squeaking all the time. It got to the point where he was like a little senile old thing talking to himself. My link should let you hear him, but if it doesn't use the "Search" button to go to "My Dale talking to himself. It's nothing to worry about unless his eating or sleeping or attitude changes.

My younger syrian doesn't squeak but my older one does. Hes usually quiet after i go see him and get him out so i like to think he's demanding my attention.
