Jasmine is Struggling

I would just leave her to be comfortable to be honest. Even if you did have a car, I would very honestly not take her to the vet. As she is not a young hamster, this is most likely or is from old age. A vet visit would just stress her out.

I'm sure she is in good hands and if she must pass that she passes very peacefully.

I agree with this. I also agree with syringing her water - Peaches didn't drink for the last 2 weeks of her life so I syringed her every day and gave fresh cucumber. I am sure it made her much more comfy xx

I will definitely try this for her. For the last couple days I have brought her bottle to her in her nest whenever I've happened to hear her awake. She has taken a bit from me.

GG, I think you are following your heart for her, which means you're instinctively finding the right things to do. Leaving her where she's always known comfort and safety is very kind; the idea to try cucumber near her bed is a good one. Leave the second water bottle close, if she feels she needs it, she'll use it, I'm sure. They are pretty smart about knowing what their needs are at this phase.

Talk to her, let her know you're there. I know that she'll take comfort in hearing her mummy's voice.

As long as she has everything she needs near her, you are doing all you can. I agree at this point its best to leave her in peace. Maybe offer water (water mixed with a few drops of honey is good) in a syringe, see if she takes it.

I spoke with my vet a little while ago and she is suggesting I could try an antibiotic for Jazzy. She thinks she could have an inner ear infection, which is causing the falling over when she walks. But I'm hesitant about this idea.

I haven't walked to the pharmacy yet. Do you all think this is a good idea?

I'm sort of feeling like the odds of this being the case are very low. I really feel like she is just nearing her time. I mean, it's not that I'm not willing to try things but I sort of feel like it's a waste. My vet is a very sweet person and she clearly adores the little furries but sometimes I think she downplays things a bit too much.

I'm so torn.

I suppose you could try it...what is the worst that could happen? If she gets a little better that is good and if not at least you tried....

I can only go by my own experiences with such situations. I always ask myself if I will regret not having tried something the vet suggested.

If she passes, and you don't give the med a try ... will you wish you had? I'm very hard on myself under such circumstances, though, and I do realize not everyone is.

I do hope that little Jasmine is comfortable.
