I have a bunch of the whole seeds in the fridge. Maybe I will roast them for a snack for myself & hubby. I've been getting some shelled seeds from the health food store for baking, . . . so I'm thinking Sophie will be getting those from now on. She does love them
I'm glad others will learn from my mistake with Sophie

I find my hammies prefer the ones with shells on, I don't know why. But I've been worried about them getting stuck in pouches, so I simply break them in half, and then they still get to peel them
