Default Something wrong with fluffy?

Okay so basically i have had my hamster fluffy for about a year now.. bought him when he was about 8 weeks old i think.

Now, he lives in a cage in my room, and inside the cage is a nice natural wood box with a hole in it (the kind from the pet store that he can go in and out of). So alot of the time when i look in on him, hes sitting ontop of the box, but sometimes he lies on it with his head hangin over the edge (like if we did the same on our bed). But im worried as i keep thinking he'll pass out from loss of blood to the head! (just as we probably would after a while).

One more thing, earlier today when he was doing this i whistled at him to get his attention he didnt respond so i went over to the cage and talked to him, mi conversation he litterly just slumped off the box, landed on his back(on his food bowl.. Ouch!) and didnt move.. holy **** i thought he was dead! So i opened the cage and blew on him slightly, since he wasnt responding to my voice, and that made him wake up, as if nothing had happened..

This unresponsiveness has happened before.. but never like that.. should i be worried? Also he clacks his teeth alot like hes cold.. but i know hes not cold..?

Sorry for the long message, but best to give all the details. (Oh and he likes long walks on the beach if that helps)

If your room is cold it is possible he is going into hibernation.

Teeth clattering= scared/upset
'Freezing' and staring into space for fairly long periods of time= unsure
Long walks on the beach= probably not good for a hamster. Is it possible that he is gettiting too cold or ingesting sand/salt water?
I can't really help you much more than that but I would get him to a vet.

The long walks on the beach bit was a joke.. so dont worry about it as apparently it was not funny in any way haha.

The room isnt cold, infact its the exact opposite as i like my room to be very warm, but dont worry he has loads of water so its not that.

Surely its not old age as hes barely 1 or 2? At first i thought he was just sleeping on the box, since his eyes seemed closed, but sometimes there half open half closed sort of..

Most hamsters live about 2 years, so it could be old age

Its just strange as hes so active most of the time, banging out gymnastics all over the cage and nillbing on everything

BTW.. he absolutely destroyed his raspberry mineral rock that he had for a year and never touched.. litterally randomly ate the whole thing in about 3 days.. red dust everywhere! Anyone seen this?
