Wickets pee is TURNING a tea colour? Whys this?
Hi all, I posted earlier about Wicket producing an orange/brown tinge to his urine. (the colour of english tea with milk) I cleaned his "toilet" and he did a fresh pee thats 100% normal milkish colour. BUT after a couple of hours the pee has turned that orange/brown colour, so what on earth could this be that it is changing this colour over time? It usually would obviously darken, but not change colour. This is strange.

Hmm. I know it's a bit odd but have you got pictures??
whenever we actually see Pepsi get up and go for a wee I always check to see if it us the normal cloudy milky wee. When the wee had dried it goes a dark browny yellowy colour and this is normal. If this is what is happening then you have nothing to worry about.

Hmmmmm is that the colour it is when he wees? or does it turn that colour once he's had a wee?
Pepi's wee is slightly lighter than that so I don't really know whether your ham's wee is normal

That is so strange, I would still get a urinalysis done by a vet. It should be a relatively cheap lab procedure *and* you should not have to take your hammy in for it!

It turns that colour actually after a couple of hours, when it comes out its perfectly normal. but this is only in the past 12 hours his pee is like this, its never dried that colour before.
Thanks Knotty xx

Hmm, well our Peps' wee is like a mikly tea colour straight away then it goes a darker kind of colour, like iced tea!? I was worried at first!! Someone else on here should be able to give you more of an indication than I can

csockman- I threw out the old sample because it was taken from a patch laying in some saw dust and a little bit of poo. I collected a new absolutely clean sample (the amount in the jar) will that be enough do you think?
