Unhappy Fat in Chest area?

So I've noticed that Scarlett, my agouti Robo, seemed a bit big in the chest area lately. So I picked her up, which she does not enjoy, felt around and found the area soft and fat-like. I find it hard to believe that it is fat that built up in her chest and cheeks area when she does not seem to be overweight for a Robo. She's eating, running, and playing the same; no difference in the way she acts or behaves around Charlotte.

I'd rather not separate as Charlotte freaks out when put alone now. I don't want to stress either one of them.

I am worried it might be a tumor. We have dealt with cancer with other pets, dogs and cats, but Scarlett is my second hamster (Charlotte being the first), so I just don't know. I'll take her to the vet, which I know I most likely have to.

But I scared. I don't want to lose Scarlett.

*Hugs* Its not always bad news. Our little dwarf had a big tumour in her tummy. The vet operated and the next day she was climbing the bars of her cage. Dusty had what I thought was a tumour and it turned out to be a fatty lump. xxx

Scarlett is a year old.

*crosses fingers* I hope it is just fatty lumps then.

Could very well be, I would say all my robos other than Whizzbit and Scarface have the same, and the three youngest are either just a year or just under. They can often lose fluff on a fatty chest too as it will rub when they wheel so don't be alarmed.

Obviously keep an eye that no actual lumps appear, if it's just a fatty chest, it should be fine

Okay, I'll keep an eye on her. I was just alarmed at finding it and wasn't sure what to do. Thanks.
