Default Need some advice

Peachy woke up this morning and when i looked at him he looked like around his face (nose and mouth area) it was all pink with no fur. He has just gone back to sleep so i have left him to rest - i don't want to disturb his nest as we've recently moved him to a new cage - i've noticed hes been sneezing too. I put this down to the sand in his cage and have taken it out. I will check on him when he wakes up later on.
Could someone give me some advice as to what this might be?

What substrate is he on? The fur loss and skin irritation could be mites but coupled with sneezing it could be an allergy.

On woodshavings, i've taken him out and he seems ok, might take him to the vet just to be sure, face looks better - it may have been he was slept in a funny way. I will see how he is tonight and assess it as to whether i take him vets tomorrow. Do you think this is a good way of going about it?
