Default Poo ...

I've had Belle a week now. I've not seen any poo in her cage at all. I read once that hamsters sometimes eat their poo. I cleaned the cage yesterday but is it possible that either hamster poo is so small that either I mistook them for food, or that they were buried in the cage? She uses one corner to pee in so I know that's ok but I'm worried that I've not seen any poos from her ...

What kind of hamster? Dwarf and especially robo poo is quite small. Sryain poo should be pretty obvious. They do burry it so maybe she's just really good at hiding it? Did you check in her house and all the corners?

You would normally find some of the hard black poos around the cage. They are often in the bedding /nest area. I'd check in there.
They do not re-eat the hard black stuff as this is already fully utilised. They pass a certain softer brown poo which the immediatly re eat and this is further processed. You don't normally see this around unless in youngsters who haven't got the hang of the signal quite right all the time.
Is her tummy bloated at all? Make sure the bottle is working and she seems bright enough and have a further search for poos! Also use only tissue bedding and not the fluffy stuff as this can cause blockages.
