How old is the little man? He doesn't sound well. When they lose the ability to regulate body temperature they are usually quite ill. I think you need to take him to the vets.
Feel free to PM me a link to the video and I'll have a look at him but it is often hard to tell on a video.

Re: is he ill? or his on his way to Hamster Heaven? HELP!
Hi there, I went through this quite recently with Hammy,he unfortunately was too poorly and even after 3 days of both me and my OH intensively caring for him.syringe feeding him, keeping him wrapped up warm,he deteriorated and we took him to the vets and they helped him on his journey.
He had gastrointeritis and the start of blood poisoning. He was very cold, bloated, couldn't walk, eat by himself etc.
I kmow firsthand how upsetting it is to see your hammy like this.but my advice to you is to take him to the vets,it's not cruel (I have this battle within me whenever I have to make this desicion as its not easy) but he does sound like he is really poorly and your last gift to him, would be to let him go to the bridge.Im sorry I cant advise you with anything else, but I have been through this with 2 hammies (Bella was just 4 months and Hammy was 19-20 months ) xxx

Can't someone lend you the money? If you have a pet you really should ensure that you can pay for vet bills

well i got him when i could afford to, but with less jobs these days its hard to keep afloat, the piggies take up most of my money & has just cost me another £80 to split them up because they no longer friends I know my boyfriend would pay but i think i allready know what the vet would say.. ide rather keep him at home tucked up in bed where he likes it and let him pass away piecefully

I have always totally believed this and could never understand why people get pets and then say they can't afford to take them to the vet but now I can see from the OP's response that there are 'good' reasons why people can't afford to. So my attitude on this has changed just a little.
anyway, keeping him at home where he feels 'safest' is probably better for him but only if he's not in pain (IMO). I wish you both the best

Re: is he ill? or his on his way to Hamster Heaven? HELP!
I know you love him and want to care for him at home and let him go peacefully.but he could end up suffering for days before he eventually passed.
It's totally up to you but my conscience wouldn't let me just wait for him to go peacefully, because he might not.
You've gotta look at it from his point of view, his quality of life isn't great and sounds very ill.if your boyfriend will pay, then I think you should let him,but like I said,it's your choice. Xx
