I posted last week about picking Darcey up and finding blood around her bottom. She was taken to the vets the next day and given a course of antibiotics.
Well last night I picked her up and felt wetness around her bottom. I turned her over and pushed on her belly and some pinky/yellowy fluid came out
Looks like a Pyometra to me
She's on anti b's twice a day already, but I have just made an appointment to see another vet at the surgery tomorrow to discuss treatment and whether he would spay
I feel sick with worry about the thought of her having the op, but at the moment she is very well - eating, drinking and wanting out and is very active when out - so I think she would be strong enough
I'll see what the vet has to say tomorrow. I feel physically sick - Darcey is my soul ham
I think Darcey has Pyometra :(
