Default Oh Dear, What to do?

Hey there! Long story short...We got two hamsters, Meatball & Marinara, about a week ago...On Monday night Meatball had a little diarrhea and was not himself at all!! Lying around when he would normally be playing...

I went to the store yesterday morning, got the wet tail drops, came home and gave her the first dose. In a panic I also gave Marinara a dose thinking I was being preventive...I cleaned every stitch of the cage and accessories as well. He no longer has diarrhea and now seems fine!

My question is, did I jump the gun here? Was it okay to go ahead and give it to them? And should I continue with the treatment now that she seems fine?

Thanks so much ya'll! =)

The medication should have directions on it telling you how long a course should be. It's best to give a full course.

I have to say though, a vet would have been more appropriate and if it ever happens again I would take her to a vet. Diarrhea isn't always wet tail and it's not possible to diagnose it at home.
