Default Strong smelling wee

I just moved Gizmos cage and there is a really strong smell coming from it and I think it's her wheel. She wees in her wheel so I wash it every three days or so but today it smells a little different and I only cleaned it out about two days ago.

It's quite strong and isn't a really horrible or potent smell. I can't really explain.

Should I be worried about anything? or am I just over worrying?

Also Gizmo is a robo who is about 8 months old

I don't know very much about Robos, sorry. Could it be anything to do with being on heat though?

Can I suggest trying to smell Gizmo herself? Might be odd but if she was on heat last night she'd probably have stopped smelling by now, whereas if she smells too it might be a bad sign.

I'd also check her underside and make sure her belly isn't swollen or anything.

Well I dont think she smells
I gave her some treats and she woke up to be nosy and as far as I can tell her tummy isn't swollen
I am getting her out properly this evening so I will give her a proper look over

Thank you

No problem, I'm no expert but those are usually the major things to check.
Am doing my best to learn absolutely everything though, so will be more sure of it all myself one day

We've found our entire bedroom can stink if enough hams have been to the loo at once, so it might just be that she'd gone recently. Good luck checking her over later and everything, I do hope its all nothing.

When I had two male robos I felt hey had quite a pungent scent to them. I used to notice it quite often but I think it`s just the way they smell as a species really. I have a syrian male and a chinese female now and every so often, the chinese will have a stronger scent to her, but chinese hamsters have three scent glands! One on each hip and one underneath, so she probably has her bad days and her good days!

She's running in her wheel top speed right now
She's just a smelly ham I guess
