Is this normal?

Hi,
So today after cleaning Joes cage, I made a mound of his bedding at one corner, hopeing he'll burrow when he wakes in the evening, but once i put him back in, he explored and then burrowed and is currently under it all sleeping..is this normal? I just want to make sure he doesnt over heat under it all.. Its 25 here, and thats pretty hot for were i live! This is his first experiance with the mound,( dont know what to call it, Hill? ) here are some pics
and yes, hes under all of that atm, and if it helps, hes in a bin cage.

He's just fine. If he's hot he'll come out.

Agreed! Gloria always used a bedding mound for a bed and would push the bedding off if she was warm

I think Joe is enjoying being under the bedding and is a very happy hamster right now!
