Re: Poorly Izu
Fred and Hugo send big healing hugs to Izu, and say that powdered baby food is easy for human mummies to make, easy to eat and tastes delicious!!

Re: Poorly Izu
Wheatley-san, what is this, a weakness you are showing? PFFT!
Really pleased you caught it so soon, and he is being looked after by such a smashing hamster-mum. He'll be fine, I am certain. Send him a massive tickle from me <33. Chicken baby food went down a storm with Chewbacca, as did the mashed banana as suggested above. There was also some sort of baby pudding he loved, with lots of fruit in.
Get well soon, Izu! xxx

Re: Poorly Izu
The same thing happened with my boy, Apples. He had an upper respiratory infection that had advanced to pneumonia. We found that he really perked up once he got a few doses of the Baytril. If the Baytril doesn't look like its working, you might consider getting Izu on Doxycycline as well. The first round of Baytril didn't completely get rid of Apples' infection, so we had a longer round, plus Doxycycline, which worked perfectly. Stay persistent with it! You caught it early, so that's a huge plus.
I believe some yogurt can help replace any beneficial intestinal bacteria that the antibiotics might kill off, but I'm not sure how much or how to give it. Hopefully someone can give you more detail on that.
Lots of hugs and snuggles to Izu <3

Re: Poorly Izu
Yogurt should be given a couple hours before or after an antibiotic dose, I believe from what I've read.
Wishing Izu a very speedy recovery!! <3

Couple of hours after antibiotics, as the antibiotic will destroy good intestinal flora, you want it to rebuild between two antibiotic intakes
Hop Izu gets soon better and meds will work...
