Default Worried about Daisy

Daisy hasn't been her normal cheeky self recently. I took her out tonight and she seemed to still not be herself - wandering around the living room and on my lap. I picked her up and it looks like she has diarrhorea. My initial thought was wet tail but she is 7 months old (approx)....

She had small bit (literally smaller than a fingernail) of strawberry a couple of days ago for the first time, which she enjoyed. I've also spotted her stuffing her pouches and drinking water as well. Even before the strawberry, she wasn't herself...

First thing tomorrow, I'm going to phone the vet and hope that they have a appt for before 3.15 tomorrow (work).

Cross fingers for her, and I'll keep you updated

Sorry to hear that. I hope she gets an appointment and that she'll be okay too. Hopefully, it's just the change in the weather that affected her mood.

Hopefully it's nothing worse than an upset tummy. Hope all goes well.

Little Daisy, as you know, went to the vet this afternoon (slight drama on my part as I decided to faint in the consulting room....). Vet had a look at her and said that her tummy area was quite hard. There seems to be no more diarrhoea, I had a look at it tonight and none in the cage. The Vet gave me some Critical Care (which is mainly used for guinea-pigs and rabbits by Oxbow) to see if that will help with her hard tummy as its used to help digestion and also to hydrate her.

She had her first dose about 30 mins ago, as I ended up being late for work due the fainting issue. She took the medicine really well. The hard bit was attempting to catch her so I could syringe it as she kept running away off my lap. In the end she took hold of the syringe, and I seized the opportunity. I think she thought it was a sunflower seed.

She'll be getting another dose later on this evening before I go to bed...

Oh, thank you for all your kind words ...Daisy says thank you too xxx
