So this is probably nothing, but I've been noticing a crease by Lucy's eyebrow deepen over the past week. First I thought the fur on her face was getting pushed by the bedding in an odd direction when she slept, but there's a short sharp dark crease by her eyebrow that keeps getting more noticeable every day. It's quite obvious now even from a few feet away. It's about 2mm long.
I was trying to have a look at whether it was missing hair but it's so small and she kept moving her head that I couldn't tell that it's anything beyond hair parting to grow in different directions for some odd reason and maybe a hint of brown (but that could be some of the undercoat). She's medium gray there and it looks like a very dark gray - black shadow where the hair doesn't all go in one direction but rather makes a small parting creating this illusion.
Are there any obvious underlying causes that could be resulting in such a crease in a dwarf hamster? It's like someone bit her there or scratched, except that she lives alone and doesn't really have any jagged edges in her bin. I hope it resolves on its own. I tried taking a photo, but she moved every time so that spot didn't come out.
