Hia, i can't get a lift so i havn't made an appointment yet- trying to look up the bus routes.

Just popped in, he was awake and climbing around?!!

But you can see his spine, he's lost so much weight and after the weird chirp i want him seen.guess no hammy show sat for him...i gave him a check over and i cant feel anything obvious...

im wondering if he was dehydrated, i gae him porridge last night because he was like gasping?

This is all very new

Ok,

I have rung 6 vets!

I have taken a 9am appointment tomorrow with my reg vet & a friend has come through and said he'll take us

Im still trying one more for today...

He has gone back to his nest and i saw him drinking from the bottle (last night he wouldn't touch it), he's pouched food...so i THINK he will be ok if i watch him overnight-

what does everyone think?

I want all forum members to know that I do have a vet fund for emergencies but due to recent financial hassles it is when to call somehting an emergency yknow...at my reg vets ill be looking around £10...the others want £60 & if he can hang on and not be suffering i'd rather take a small chance.

AM i doing the right thing everyone?

We all know how much you love your little ones. If he's eating and drinking fine then I'm sure he will be ok for a short while.. I really hope he will pull through. Poor Bear

I am so sorry to hear he is ill. If it is his time sweetie all you can do is be there to help him whichever way he decides to go.

Ok finally!

I have got him an appointment at 5.50 today, they sounded lovely and its a small animal vet he is seeing also- not quite sure what it's going to cost me but I know i'll be up all night otherwise worrying.

NuttyEmUk on here is kindly taking me, i'm hoping its just a minor bug of some sort and he was just feeling a bit weak.

I've changed my plans so i stay in today, might seem silly but im going to fight for him- he was the reason I joined HC too!

I'm glad you've managed to get him in today. It's horrible having to wait. I've text all my friends in my city who don't work to ask if anyone is free to come with me, I don't mind paying for a taxi, but I don't want to go alone.

Good luck I hope it's something really simple and Bear is back to his old self soon
