Ah, that's most likely. Snickers did this once but it was the green biscuit so I figured it out quite quickly, I totally forgot about that.

At least it's nothing serious.

Noodles seems her normal happy nippy self, I kinda figured it out last night when I found a very soggy bit of red Harry Hamster feed in her bedding. It was in the soggy corner where she likes to toilet. The colour matched! I rubbed a bit of the feed on the bedding and it stained it. I hope this is what it is. There are no other visable cuts, marks, lumps or bumps!

Glad it is not anything bad! I have had the same experience, turned out that it was the chewable hut that I bought my hamster, it had the food dye in it.

I took it away from her though, since I don't like the thought of her ingesting dye all the time...

Though do be sure that your hamster doesn't have a scratch or something in its nails... mine had slight bleeding and it turned out to be a broken nail (which healed by itself and is a little thing, but you know, good to monitor anyway!)
