Cushing Disease??? - Page 3

Well im back from the vets and the vet agreed that she has alot of signs of cushings but didnt want to confirm it as that until she has been treated for mites.

So i have a couse of mite treatment and also some hibiscrub to bath her skin. if theres no improvement in 3 weeks then i need to take her back, where it looks like the vet will confirm as cushings!

So fingers crossed this treatment helps

Ive just given her the mite treatment and have just bathed her skin and she looks awful!
im going to take photos every day to montoir the fur and skin but thought id add one on here to show u. breaks my heart

I've actually never seen a case of mites before so couldn't say if that's what Megan has but Snickers looks alot different to that. Although I guess different hamsters could show a different severity of the symptoms. I've not found many articles on the disease so it's hard to compare them to other hamsters, if you know what I mean. I know how you feel though, it is heartbreaking to see. Trust me though, you can still see the shine in their eyes and they will still run around like nothing's even happened. They are little fighters!
