Wet Scent Gland
Sonic's scent gland area on his backend always seems to look wet. I'm assuming this is just the scent coming out but wanted to double check that this is ok and doesn't mean something else.

Re: Wet Scent Gland
forgive me bad memory, sonic is a syrian?
Syrians scent glands are on the sides, around the hip area. Dwarfs scent gland is in the middle of their belly.
Are you sure Sonic is male and its not the female musty smell and discharge when in season? I would be worried if his backend is wet

Re: Wet Scent Gland
ah I see, It may be at the moment as he is a new ham that he feels the need to mark his home a lot. Some hamsters have really wet glands and others hardly at all, it just depends on the individual
