Default Daisy is worrying me

Daisy has been slowing down for a little while now, and I put it down to her age as she is around 20/21 months old now - her back legs seemed to become weaker (although they were always skinny anyway) and hair thinner - although she has still be getting up at the same time and looking bright

However, the last few nights I noticed her breathing has become a little faster and heavier, and last night when inspecting her bed I found a bit of stained bedding.

i checked her bottom and manipulated her belly and some discharge came out..it was yellow-ish and did smell a bit iffy

I've got her booked into the vets tonight but I'm dreading it being a Pyo...I know the only cure is a spay and I'm not sure if she's strong enough for that, especially with her breathing.

If it is a Pyo, perhaps a bout of Baytril will fix her up enough to be strong for the op (if my vet will do it), but I just dont know...

I know it hasnt been confirmed yet and it could possibly be something else, I'm just so worried

the best person to talk to about Pyo would be Vectishams, her elderly syrian Bella had an operation for Pyo and thrived afterwards.
All the best, poor daisy xxx

Well we went to see the vet. He gave her a good feel and a squeeze. He was pleased that she didn't seem tender around her belly/abdomen which is a good sign. He checked her bottom and although it was a but stained, no fresh discharge came out

He's given me baytril for her for 10 days and i am to go back if discharge continues or gets worse to discuss what else to do

She said she was a good size and seemed pleased with her condition

So I guess I'll see how it goes over the next few days. I guess time will tell.
