Tear in ear

I just had Byers out for her playtime, and sometime today she has developed a tear in the top of her ear. It definitely wasn't there this morning, and I have no clue how she got it. She did have a little hole in it from when she fought with the sister who I've now put in a different cage, maybe she caught that somehow and ripped it open? I've not noticed her fighting with her other sister at all, and they quite happily snuggle together, so I would be surprised if Langley had caused it. My biggest concern is she has caught it on something sharp in her cage and she could do herself more damage, but I can't think what.

Is there anything I should do? It looks completely clean, just a little bit of skin hanging off. I ran my hands all over it and she didn't seem to flinch, nor is it stopping her running about and doing all her normal things (she always commences a two hour groom at this time of night ) Should I just keep an eye on it and look out for any blood/infection looking skin?

It is quite easy for a claw to catch in a hole and tear the ear sam. It is not uncommon either. Keep an eye on it and see if it heals. If the flap keeps tearing it may need trimmed smooth at the vets and maybe sealed with tissue glue or something. Watch for any blackness or oozing but more than likely it will heal over fine on its own.
