Default Bloody Nose??

Took Toffee out for a cuddle and noticed dried blood around her nose, and her nose looked a bit inflamed.

I have cleaned it off with a damp cotton bud and am going to check her again in a hour or 2 to see if any more blood has appeared.

She has no visible cuts to her face or any other part of her, she doesn't seem in any pain and happily took a yogurt drop from me.

What do people think caused it?? There is nothing sharp in her cage/bedding, and her teeth and mouth look normal.

Less than a week ago the vet gave her a clean bill of health.

Thanks xx

Could she have fallen and knocked it off something?

Keep a close eye and take her to the vets if it continues, sending get well kisses to her poor nose x

My syrian Hoop had what appeared to be a bleeding nose around 4 months ago. I put it down to the fact that it wasn't blood but excess mucus. She is healthy and happy and hasn't had any issues since

I have just had her out and there is no fresh blood. After examining her cage closer it seems that she has underestimated the size of her head and got it stuck between the top and bottom of her igloo. She over filled it a few days ago and it went 'pop' during the night!

She is running around like a loony right now so I doubt she needs to go to the vet. But if any more blood appears over a few days she will get taken.

xx

P.S. She was happier once I had kissed it better!!
