When I am not in the room Mckenzie is out and about in his cage like a mad man lol but when i am in the room he just goes straight to bed. Does anyone els have this truble

my hamsters are the exact opposite of that, lol. when im not awake or around they tend to sleep a lot of the time - when i am around they're going nutty

hopefully someone will come along though who has experience dealing with that!

How long have you had your hamster for?
when they are new they will do this until they feel comfortable and settled in they new surroundings

Mckenzie sounds very nervous, have you had him long? Is he tame? If not then he will take time to get used to your noise and smell. Em x

He is the most tamest hamster i have ever known. and i have had him nearly a year. the other 2 who i have had after him are ok its just him
