I agree with womblehands, you feed them really well, I don't think it'd be your fault..
I hope the visit to the vets goes ok, and that the other things sort themselves out soon too..
wishing you and your hams the best!

Thankyou, your all really comforting

From help on MAH, I've now been told it could be due to root damage that cause them to go white. He had been badly bar chewing for the past few weeks until it stopped recently so maybe thats why.
Hopefully it doesn't require much treatment, but maybe just a teeth trim and careful monitoring.

awww i knew HC and MAH would make me feel way more positive

Aww Horace knows how he feels, he has to get his trimmed every 4 weeks or so because they don't line up right so become overgrown quick(cant remember the proper name)His have always been like this I think. I really doubt its anything to do with his diet, Its unlikely it will effect him much and he'll still be his cheeky self , they probably just need a trim. let us know how things go! xx

Back from the vets
Porridge has had his teeth trimmed as they were getting too long, although theres not much that can be done when the teeth enamel is gone but just keep a close eye on them.
The vet was really surprised how tame Treo and Porridge were as he said hamsters he had were normally horrible to him
Porrridge looked very grumpy after he'd had his teeth clipped, hes a nightmare to keep still! he was also determined to make an escape out of his carrier

Both Treo and Porridge only came to about £30 so i'm very pleased

Glad it went okay, will he need regular trimming or was it a one-off?

My vet was also surprised at how tame Snickers was.

I'm not sure, he does have chews but he ignores them and i hadn't given him a dog biscuit to chew in a while so maybe thats why they overgrew.

Will be keeping a close eye, may ask the vet if they could teach me to trim the teeth myself if it becomes regular
