Care Fresh...
Just trying Noodles out with this. I have been mixing it in with her sawdust so it is not much of a shock. Thing is, do I use this instead of saw dust or as her bedding in her little house? I am still a newbie to hamster keeping! Oh, and how much do I need to put in her cage?
Thank you!

Re: Care Fresh...
It's meant as a sawdust replacement, but it'd be quite expensive in the long run.. if you do like it, megazorb is a good cheaper alternative I think
It's a judgement call, I usually give 2 inches or so in a mini duna, but others may use more, or some less... it's the level at which it looks comfy to you

Re: Care Fresh...
Where do you buy megazorb from? And are the bags really huge?

Re: Care Fresh...
I Use carefresh for Jogo along with torn up kitchen roll for nesting material. I put the whole bag of carefresh in his cage, although its more than he needs and anything over about an inch would be fine, and he digs right in to make deep nests. He also has lots of fun digging into it and flinging it out of the cage for me to clear up!
it is expensive though so I plan to start ordering big bales of bedding such as finacard or megazorb instead

Re: Care Fresh...
I only do a full cage clean about once a month, my hams are all litter trained and I just spot clean there beds/shelves etc. I think the less you mess up the house the better it is for the hams less stress etc but thats just me lol xxx

Re: Care Fresh...
Yeah I try and keep it at a minimum. I spot clean where she goes, which by now is a few choice places! She has that much bedding and tissue, I wouldn't want to tidy it all the time!
